What accomplishment(s) are you most proud of?
I’m both amazed and proud of my two teenage boys, their grades, accomplishments and watching them grow into adults.
When you are not working, what are you happiest doing?
Playing the drums in my band, golf, skiing, and wrenching on anything mechanical.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
From an early age, my parents knew I had some talent in the engineering field and always kind of pushed me that way. As I developed and grew, I also discovered that I really liked art and design. Architecture seemed like the perfect marriage to me of the two pursuits. I really attribute my high school senior art teacher, who taught me how to draw in perspective as one who cemented my place in architecture.
How do you want people to remember you?
I want to be remembered as a kind person who cherished courage, temperance, justice and wisdom.
Who is someone you admire, and why?
Elon Musk: Aside from his polarizing character, I’m really impressed with his desire to further the evolution of the human race through sustainable platforms and pioneering space travel. I also appreciate the success of a new American car brand which is a rarity in these times.
Brief history with H&H?
As a fresh-out-of-college recruit to H&H in 1996, I spent 9 years learning from the best in the healthcare design and construction business. After spending 14 years away from H&H learning other ways to practice architecture, I solemnly reinforced my belief in the design build delivery philosophy, returning the company in 2019 and enjoy the delivery of our brand of excellence
Beach or mountains, and why?
Mountains: I like the intense beauty with the feeling of accomplishment and activity of hiking and being in a remote environment.
What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join our team?
If you value the mission of helping humankind by promoting health and well-being, then you will find no other career that is more rewarding than working for H&H.
If you could time travel, what would you tell your younger self? Future self?
Take that typing class elective in high school. Learn a second language. Listen more – speak less.

I am much more into savory foods than sweet
