This project constructed approximately 9.500 s.f. of clinical areas to support a four-story Proton Therapy Vault and approximately 5000 s.f. of renovations to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. H&H Design-Build/Architection provided Site Analysis, Space Programming, Architectural Design, Interior Design, Equipment Coordination, Construction Documents, Preconstruction Services, Construction Management and Contract Administration services. Major medical equipment included a Mevion Compact Proton Therapy system. The multistory addition merged several different existing building stories and new building levels into a cohesive addition that required detailed cribbing and blind-casting construction processes.
